Meet The Team
Kate Krier, PT, DPT
Kate grew up in New Jersey and earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience at UConn. She continued her education to receive her doctorate of Physical Therapy at Marymount University. After receiving her Doctorate, she relocated to the triangle to kick start her career.
Kate treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Kate also specializes in dry needling, women’s health and pelvic floor conditions including peri/postpartum, urinary incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. She enjoys working through strengthening programs, as well as reducing and preventing chronic pain. She utilizes multiple soft tissue techniques including cupping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.
In her free time, Kate spends time with her husband and golden retrievers. She likes to bake, travel, exercise, and play in adult sports leagues, including field hockey and softball. She recently took up baking sourdough treats\!
Eric Marcantonio, PT, DPT, CPT
Eric treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. He specializes in dry needling, manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, custom orthotics, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, as well as reducing and preventing acute and chronic pain. Eric grew up in Massachusetts, he went on to earn his Bachelors in Psychology at UMass Amherst.
Eric’s love for weightlifting and strength training landed him a personal training job in 2014. After training for many years, he wanted to continue his education and become a physical therapist. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Eric thought he was going to move back north after school but the North Carolina weather made him stay.Â
In his free time he likes to exercise, cook food, spend time with his wife and dogs, play video games and drum. Fun fact, if you want to make his day, bring him food!
Joanna Burgess
Bodywork, Massage & Personal Trainer

Joanna is dedicated to helping clients achieve meaningful results through an integrative and personalized approach. Her specialization is the Hendrickson Method®, an advanced orthopedic clothed bodywork focusing on functional rehabilitation and deep relaxation. Unlike traditional massage, this method offers effective, ongoing relief for chronic pain by treating soft tissues, ligaments, joints, and nerves.
Joanna's expertise is supported by extensive training in Northern California, where she completed her 500-hour massage program and 300-hour advanced orthopedic bodywork specialization. As a certified Personal Trainer, Joanna specializes in corrective and functional movement. She also holds certifications as a Health and Wellness Coach and has experience as a restorative fitness and mindfulness instructor. Training is often combined with her Bodywork for maximum effectiveness, but is also available stand-alone.
Outside of the clinic, Joanna is an avid movement and outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hiking, paddling, yoga, and dance. She is committed to a vision of inclusivity in the wellness industry, warmly welcoming clients of all body types, abilities, and backgrounds.
Bruce Buley MA, PT, OCS, CMTPT, CSCS
- Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) by the APTA; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); and, earned his advanced Dry Needling certification. His extensive experience has included treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, pediatric and sports related problems. He has served on the academic and clinical faculties of UNC-CH and Medical College of Georgia. Bruce is semi-retired spending most of his time bike, playing bocce and traveling with his wife. He is currently treating infrequently, as needed by the clinic!
