Children's Health

Acupuncture is typically gentle enough to treat children and they often respond remarkably well to Chinese medicine. Non-needle techniques can be used to address the meridians in cases where needles may not seem appropriate. Conditions such as frequent ear infections, asthma, eczema, acne, colic, digestive issues, night terrors and bedwetting are commonly addressed with acupuncture. Insomnia, ADHD and developmental problems are treated not only in our Oriental medicine department, but also respond well to a multidisciplinary approach which may include neurofeedback. Children’s pain and musculoskeletal issues can often be helped with biofeedback and gentle manual therapy techniques such as craniosacral therapy.
